• Crush mustard cake into powder.
• Use 1 tablespoon of Mustard Cake Powder per 12-inch pot or for 1 square feet of soil bed.
• You can either sprinkle it on the topsoil, 2-3 inches away from the stem or you can also dig a small cavity away from the stem and fill it up with mustard cake powder.
• Making the powder wet a few hours before will help it mix better with soil.

How to use Mustard Cake Liquid Fertilizer?

Never use mustard cake liquid fertilizer without adding water first as it might burn your plants otherwise.

How much water should we add?

• Add water until the liquid turns a very light yellow colour or almost colourless.

How to make Mustard Cake Liquid Fertilizer?

• It is made by fermenting a mixture of mustard cake and water.
• Take a bucket or some other container.
• Take 200 grams of Mustard Cake for every liter of water. For example, take 400 grams for 2 to 3 liters of water.
• Add it to the bucket and let it ferment.
• Do not add extra water as the mixture will rot instead of fermenting.
• The aforementioned quantity will be enough for 100 plants. Increase or decrease the quantity according to the number of plants you have.
• Keep it for 3 to 4 days, giving it a light stir every few days.
• Give it to your plants by mixing it in water making it a light colour solution and then using that for irrigating your plants.
• Or spray it on plants to give them an instant nutrient boost. Strain the mixture beforehand to prevent clogging the spray gun.

While you can start using this mixture after 3-4 days of fermentation, fermenting it for longer increases it’s nutritional content and effectiveness.
