Seed Germination time:
Seeds take 5 to 14 days to germinate under ideal soil conditions when temperature is around 21°C.
If the temperature is lower than 8° or higher than 24° then seeds will take longer to germinate. If the temperature is much too lower than 8° or much too higher than 24°, then the seeds will fail to germinate all together.

Where to grow Spinach?
SnG Palak / Spinach Hybrid Seeds can be grown in both, soil beds and garden pots. It can even be grown in cardboard boxes and other household containers.

SnG Palak / Spinach Hybrid Seeds will grow well in a light porous soil mixture with a good drainage and water holding capacity. It should also have a good amount of nitrogen in it.
Mix up to 50% Compost / Vermicompost to potting soil and mix it well. You can also add some sand or Perlite to the mix to increase it’s Drainage ability if it’s lacking.
Check the soil for drainage and water retention
If needed you can make the soil retain more moisture by adding a small quantity (10 to 25%) of vermiculite or cocopeat to it.
Should We Directly Sow Spinach or Transplant it?
SnG Palak / Spinach Hybrid Seeds grow best when directly sown in soil. They tend to start flowering early instead of producing any leaves if they are transplanted as saplings.
How to plant Spinach?
In a Soil Bed:
If you are growing SnG Palak / Spinach Hybrid Seeds in a soil bed, sow seeds in a 2 ft. row.
Keep a distance of 3-4 inches between each seed hole.
Sow 2 seeds per hole and then retain one healthy sapling after germination, carefully uprooting the other one.
In a Garden Pot:
Sow the seeds 2- 3 inches apart.

How to Fertilize Spinach?
SnG Palak / Spinach Hybrid Seeds needs a lot of nitrogen to produce big healthy leaves. Fertilize with compost / vermicompost or a nitrogen specific fertilizer 4 weeks after sowing the seeds.
How to water SnG Palak / Spinach Hybrid Seeds?
Spinach needs constant moisture. Water the soil bed or pot once the top soil is dry.
In hot weather, when the temperature is much higher than the ideal temperature for growing spinach, take extra care to keep the soil moist to maintain an ideal temperature.
How to Harvest SnG Palak / Spinach Hybrid Seeds?
For Spinach growing in rows in the soil bed:
You can let the spinach grow until it reaches it’s full size, becoming dense with big leaves, and then harvest it in one go.
SnG Spinach Hybrid seeds can produce more leaves 2 to 3 times more after harvesting. So, while harvesting, take care to cut the leaves above 1 inch from the base of the plant.
For Spinach growing in pots:
For densely growing spinach in Garden pots, harvesting is a continuous process. Harvest young tender leaves when they are the size of 2 to 3 inches. This will allow smaller leaves to get more sunlight and air, which will help them grow bigger and they’ll b ready to be harvested in the next few days.
